Presenting to a Major Studio....

Fri Apr 18, 2008, 7:35 PM
Wow.

So, I got back from my presentation with my bosses at X (X being an unnamed major studio at this time) Studio. It feels pretty good to know that the work I did on the main characters went over well. I really owe it to Tony De Rosa and John Pomeroy for their awesome drawings to use as a jumping point.

It's surreal to have folks I admired for so long suddenly be my peers. Granted, I don't think they'll ever get to see the work I did, but I get to work from theirs and it's awesome.

Not even four months out of graduating and I'm already doing lead character design. I really couldn't be happier. So this weekend is devoted to my other three jobs of character design for another company, more superheroes, and more comic pages. My life never slows down...

I would have NEVER thought I'd be here right now, not in a million years.

Bamboozled.

Well I'M not surprised!
I am! Seriously went from rock bottom to top of the world in little less than two months time. I'm now watching over my shoulder constantly to make sure someone doesn't push me off this nice cozy high point ;) At least not for awhile.

Just goes to show it DOES happen. And success stories are always a big help to those still plugging away in chase of the elusive Big Break. Or I think so, anyway.
